The poster relates a situation experienced by the social workers from the Rafael Belloso Chacín University on their trip to the government sponsored infocentro in Sinamaica, where they worked in bringing technology and freedom of information to unprivileged native Venezuelans. They didn’t know they could reach the world with the use of a computer and they were shocked to find out that they could chip in and contribute with Spanish Wikipedia which lets the world know who they are and who they have been for centuries, their culture, their music, their foods and everything that makes them unique and special. After fixing and setting up the computers (with Spanish Wikipedia as startup page in Mozilla Firefox) they learned how to browse it and read about their country, their city and themselves. And with that they felt like that was it, they were finally on the map and people anywhere could see who they were, humans like all of us.
