Dear Cathy,
I'm wondering if you'd be interested in doing a video interview with us about trust and Wikipedia. We're making a short educational documentary about Wikipedia for Project New Media Literacies, a MacArthur-funded research initiative at MIT's Comparative Media Studies program. This video will be part of a series available for free to jr high and high schoolers and their parents and teachers. The videos profile people who make various forms of media (we've done comicbook artist, graffiti artist, radio doc producer, and now Wikipedia). We use these videos as a springboard for media literacy curricula in which kids are asked to think critically about media they produce and consume. Wikipedia, we're hoping, will be a timely and exciting topic for kids.
We'd like to interview conference presenters and Wikipedia editors/contributors. Your paper looks very interesting and I think your view point would be a good addition to our video. We'll be coming to Wikimania, but we'd really like to pre-schedule some interviews so we don't get lost in the excitement of the goings-on. Please let me know if you're interested (vanbertozzi(at)gmail.com). Hope to hear from you soon!...Vanessa Vanbertozzi 01:06, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
